Galeon & gconf

after a reinstall galeon refuses to remember my settings.
i think this could be a gconf problem. i`m using gnome2.
There seems to be a trick on the galeon site, (using killall gconfd-1(for me gconfd-2)) but it dont work.

any tricks?

i worked it out.
if anyone get the same problem, try removing ~/.galeon.
