I want to start KDE automatically on a per user basis.
Is the only way to run "kdm" in a .login shell? |

Well.. you can edit /etc/rc.conf under DISPLAYMANAGER and stick kdm there to have it start up instead of xdm
PS you need to rc-update add xdm default to have xdm start up with init _________________ Hey--hey how are ya? |
