I converted ext2 to ext3 (tune2fs -j /dev/hda7) and everything seemed ok. When I recompiled the kernel trouble began. I was blocked out of the system :
fsck.ext3: no such file or directory while trying to open /dev/hda7.
From another distro I chroot into the system, everything seemed fine all except I can't get into the system by booting it. _________________ bluesky

Do you have e2fsprogs installed? fsck.ext3 should be in /sbin. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

The fsck.ext3 is there(/sbin/fsck.ext3). So do you suggest that the system has trouble to find that file? But how to fix it? _________________ bluesky
