The livecd boots.
But after installing my system doesn't finish loading when booting from hard disk. Everything I've tried results in my computer hanging, if I have my maxtor ata100 adapter w/Promise PDC20267 chipset in the computer.
In particular, I enabled support for PDC20267. I also tried disabling both ide channels on the adpater (ide2=noprobe hde=none hdf=none ide3=noprobe hdg=none hdh=none). I tried various kernels as well.
Is the .config that was used for the cd, available anywhere? I'd like to compare.

There are several in here, but I'm not sure which one you want. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

Thanks. It says 2.4.19-xfs-r1 at boot.
I guess I'll just browse the files and see if there's something obvious I can try. |
