When GTK2 ?

GTK2 is still masked I asked myself why ?
can both gtk1 and gtk2 live on the same system ?

please help me to understand

Yes, last time I checked you could have both. GTK is still masked because I think it breaks comaptibility in some programs.

On the box it said it was designed for Win XP or better, so why won't it work with Linux?
