The mouse cursor when i start x - no matter which window maker i use - has an arbitrary shape. Most of the time it is just a big black rectangle, sometimes it is striped and sometimes it is totally invisible.

I've have tried changing it with "xsetroot -cursor" but no change.

I am quite new to Linux, and I don't know where to start looking for the cause of this.

Any ideas?

Except for this everyting is working.

My system:
Athlon XP
Gigabyte GA-7VRXP (Via KT333)
Matrox G550
Microsoft mouse - using the "IMPS/2"protocol

Thank you :D

Code:
Option "SWCursor" "True"
did not worked, but
Code:
 Option "HWCursor" "False"
did.

Now when I have a cursor I may finally be able to use my system.
Thanks again!

/Andreas
