|
|
i completed an install of gentoo...everything was working so i thought i'd go ahead and install kde by doing a "emerge kde"...everything was going fine after a couple hours i checked on it still going fine compiling and all that shit...then towards the end it gave me the weirdest error...it gave all these stack error codes (addresses in ram i presume), halting the system. Now when i try to boot up with gentoo or any other distrobution i get a "attempted to kill init" error amoung others. This is weird because i wiped the MBR and repartitioned/formated the entire drive (yet it still remembers my earlier partition scheme when booting with the gentoo cd). I cannot even install any version of windows because after i format, i get errors about not being able to load files (into ram i believe or whatever ). Has this ever happened to anyone maybe somebudy can help me with this issue, maybe it is a hardware failure?? |
