only root can use Soundcard

Hi,
since I installed my Onboard-Soundchip (VIA) using the Kernelmodule via82cxxx_audio I hae got a problem using it. While using it as root is no problem, I can't use it as a normal user. XMMS says: "Couldn't open audio".
Can anyone help me please?

if you are using devfsd you will have to add your users to the "audio" group or modify the /etc/devfsd.conf and change the permission to 666 for the dsp and mixer.

I would go for adding the audio group
