[NOTE!1]I've done it again.. while writing here trying to get some help on the forum, I discovered the error. Once again, the solution is written at the bottom of this post.[/NOTE!!]

I just rebooted my gentoobox, and now it won't start again.

When it comes to checking root filesystems... I get:
Code:

* Checking root filesystems...
fsck 1.29 (24-sep-2002)

reiserfsck: could not open filesystem on "/dev/hda6"

warning... fsck.reiserfs for device /dev/hda6 exited with signal 6.
* Filesystem repaird   [!!]
*Remouting root filesystem read/write...
* Checking all filesystems...
fsck 1.29 (24-sep-2002)

fsck.ext2: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/hda1
/dev/hda1:
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2 filesystem (and not swap or ifs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and yuou might try running e2fsck with an alternat superblock:
    e2fsck -b 8139 <device>

* Filesystem errors corrected.   [!!]

But, /dev/hda1 (which is /boot) is ext3, but I guess it doesn't know that since it can't read /dev/hda6 (which is / (root partition))

I did boot with the Gentoo 1.4rc1_r2 cd and checked the reiserfs partition (/dev/hda6) and it did not find any errors...

[SOLUTION!!]During me writing this I also noticed this at the beginning of the startup:
* Starting devfs [!!]

I booted up from the CD once again, and went into (edited that is) /etc/devfsd.conf and I found a line on its own containing just this: [color=darkred]^[B
. I guess I've pressed some keys without knowing so.. anyways, I deleted it and now everything works just as before. Strange how small things can screw up a whole system.[/SOLUTION!!][/color]
