I try emerging mplayer and I get this msg...
bash-2.05a# emerge mplayer
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge media-video/mplayer-0.90_pre8 to /
>>> md5 ;-) MPlayer-0.90pre8.tar.bz2
>>> md5 ;-) mp-arial-iso-8859-1.zip
>>> md5 ;-) mp-arial-iso-8859-2.zip
>>> No message digest entry found for archive"default-skin-0.1.tar.bz2."
!!! Type "ebuild foo.ebuild digest" to generate a new digest.
So I type ebuild foo.ebuild digest and I get the error !!! doebuild: foo.ebuild not found.
Anyone know how I can get mplayer emerged? |

As in, ebuild mplayer-0.90_pre8.ebuild digest _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

you can pass -nofs on the command line, or fs=0 into the config file _________________ ·-=: lanark :=-· |

And you can use the 'f' key on your keyboard to switch between fullscreen modes. |

I suppose you have to emerge mplayer again, but the best way to find out is to try
I don't think your last emerge went through all the way. |

Hello!
Mplayer is a well documented piece of software (unlike certain software, which IS FAR MORE important system service, namely - devfs).
After sucessfully doing
Code: | ebuild mplayer.ebuild digest
and emerge mplayer |
you should do a and read through it. It will tell oyu how to optimize output, squeeze the most out of your hardware and how to generaly use mplayer.
Did anyone notice how broken this version really is? If I run it with gui it crashes on exit and sometimes takes X out as well. Without GUI it just crashes...
BTW
When you see words FOO or BAR or even FOO.BAR or any other combination, you always have to replace them with relevant words. Foo.Bar is the same as Not.Important or Change.This.
It comes from US army during World War 2: Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition. - FUBAR or FOOBAR. _________________ |
