This problem is fixed in the rc2 of vmware 4.5.2 resync the package list and do emerge -U vmware-workstation this wil fix the problem

I can't confirm this.
I'm trying to install W2k Server since some hours, but vmware doesn't recognise the medium within the cdrom drive.

Geht wunderbar, allerdings erstmal nur mit dem PC, der die verbindung aufgebaut hat. iptables ermoeglicht dann auch den Zugriff fuer den zweiten PC.

Es gibt so viele Hardware und Chipsatzkombinationen, dass laesst sich nicht gescheit realisieren. Zudem ist eine solche Liste ohne jede Menge pflege schon in wenigen Tagen veraltet, da in diesem Moment jemand einen Treiber fuer Hardware X releasen koennte.

default heisst nicht unbedingt, dass es auch die werte sind, die alsa vorher hatte.

versuch mal die werte in der .asoundrc festzulegen, auf der alsa homepage gibts eine recht gute doku dazu.

badblocks ist ein ext2(3?) utility, wenn du es z.B. mit reiserfs benutzen willst, musst du die blocksize anpassen und einige andere huerden umgehen.

wie kommt man bitte auf die kranke idee windows an eine scheinbar defekte platte ranzulassen?
