For ghc the problem is that you disk have less than 2GiB on /usr, probably you have in /usr/portage/distfiles very old sources
What's the solution? manually delete some of them?
Is there a automated tool to delete older sources?

Funny, a couple of minutes after I made the last reply Xorg crashed again.
I'm running tail -f /var/log/messages >> dmesg.log to try and to catch it again.
Note: xorg crashed again when I tried to concatenate /var/log/messages

Re: Problem with ebuilds, possibly cflag mixup

This also shows up at the beginning of a emerge. Is my openssl outdated? You have an out-of-date overlay that contains an ebuild for an outdated openssl. You may or may not have that openssl installed, but the mere presence of that ebuild provokes the warning because the ebuild contains a serious ...

Re: Check kernel that supports aes-xts-plain64 cipher 4.16.2

# CONFIG_CRYPTO_AES_X86_64 is not set
This might be your problem. Set it to "y".
Also, consult with the wiki and double-check that all other kernel options necessary for dm-crypt are set.
E.g. CRYPTO_XTS should certainly be "y" and not "m" too.
Wow, I got the thing to compile and boot correctly ...

[solved] kernel supports aes-xts-plain64 cipher 4.16.2-gnu

I have a root, home, and swap partition in a logical volume that is encrypted. I tried upgrading my kernel from 4.9.76-r1 to 4.16.2 (both with deblobed scripts) but apparently when I boothed into the kernel it said something like this.

device mapper ioctl on failed: no such file or directory
