Ugh. It's been so long that I've actually forgotten. I believe that at the time, I was using Artwiz, but I may be mistaken.

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but it's easy enough to add 'em to menu items. All you need to do is fire up your favorite text editor and add a line like so to ~/.fluxbox/menu:

[exec] (Gaim) {/usr/bin/gaim} </usr/share/pixmaps/gaim-menu.xpm>

All files in my document root are owned by apache:apache. The error_log file is only bitching about the lack of a favicon. No .htaccess file exists and all the extensions are .php. Shouldn't be a MIME error, because my phpinfo.php file displays correctly. I'm at a loss here. Lotsa head-scratching.

PHP files not being processed.

Heya. Maybe this is a stupid question, but if the apache2 is processing some php files the way it should (like the famous phpinfo.php file) but not others and the permissions are 644 on all of them, what could be the issue?

How did you get this working? All I get is a collection of png's in a tarball. Do I need to compile all this?

This one? Not since my last post. To be honest, with everything else going on in my life, I hadn't really had time. Wanna add some to it?

Sounds like your configuration is screwy. Make a backup of your ~/.e directory and then rm -rf ~/.e/e/config exit enlightenment and log back in.

thanks for the tip - unfortunately no luck. now the thing segfaults every time i fire up anything...
Have you updated from CVS with saner CFLAGS ...

Careful of CFLAG useage. Some of them are added by your -O* options and manually adding them is just redundant. Some of them are known to break things...badly. You might check this page for gcc ...

I see little reason to use any script for that in gentoo, especially when you can just:

You never typo? Personally, I do. Lots. Besides, it's easier to ...

Recompile all EFL/E17 in the correct order.
For an easy way to recompile in the correct order, check mazirian's e17-pkg script on page 6 of this very thread. Hasn't failed me yet!

You could also use convert by targeting a group of images and specifying the name of the output file if you already have the static images created.

Do the backgrounds on get-e.org animate? or is there just one that animates, the firey-brush looking one.

i want an e background like the ones that have that slowly animates so it takes time to notice.

You can find out how to make your own here . You can even use the cheesy one I made ;).

Enjoy.

in e16 i used to see that the menu used to move along with the mouse if they are going off the screen.
but it doesn't do that with e17.

Sure it does. Just direct your mouse toward the part of the menu that's cut off and the entire menu tree should scoot back toward the center of the screen. Glad ...

In what format? You could use MING for shockwave. MAYA for 3D animations. Blender3D for 3D photo ... etc.

giglio , this is too damn cool ! I hadn't even bothered to check out how to do this before now. Your script made it really, really simple. As a matter of fact, I hacked up an animated background in the style of gentoo. You can preview it or download the edj here .

I'm having a bit of a problem getting entrance to start e17. Gnome and enlightenment (e16) work just fine. I'm probably doing something wrong. I edited /usr/share/entrance/build_config.sh to my liking, ran it, and copied the resulting entrance_config.db to /etc. I modified my /etc/rc.conf to use ...
