to keep the system clock up to date, there are many programmes... I was going to ask you, which one is better/has more advantages and I wanted to know what's the difference betweend OpenNTP and NTP?

Which programme are you using to keep your system clock up to date???

forget it. 9999 aKa git-builds of compiz are (yet) not ready for daily use. I think, that we have to wait on 0.9 stable (Hopefully with emerald).

Is the 'possible' solution of NeddySeagoon working with current dwm? I would like to apply some patches (e.g. fibonacci, pertag,...) but I dont know how to apply them.

Any help would be appreciated!

you can disable spell and unity and configure runs clean but still i have this during make:

lsmod | wgetpaste
wgetpaste /usr/src/linux/.config and post url's so gentooP4 could compare?

I compiled every USB driver in my kernel (* prefix) - But it is still not working...

The stick is going to be initialized before mounting the root fs. After that, the system don't recognize the stick anymore.

I´ve got the same problem on my fresh ~amd64 install... :-(

The strange thing is, that the USB Adapter is working like a charm on SystemRescueCd-x86-2.3.1. As SystemRescueCd is also Gentoo based, I am sure that it is also working with the default Gentoo build. I think we forgot an USB driver module ...

As far as I can see, this is no gnome bug, its a bug with latest xorg... I'm doing a downgrafe and will be back soon.

I switched today from gnome-next branch to master branch and updated all the packages. Everything compiled fine, but my Touchpad (and an external device - an usb mouse) is not working. :(

The strange thing is, that the touchpad is working at gdm till the log-in dialog appears. After that ...

I was going to exclude two live ebuilds (I use many live ebuilds) from the command "emerge @live-rebuild", but I have no idea how to make it.

I´ve searched portage for dee, but I did not find anything.

EDIT: Fixed the issue with dee - Found an ebuild at gpo.zugaina.org an updated it - Here is it ...

python-updater fixed the issue *crossing fingers* let's compile gwibber.

The place to file these kinds of requests is http://bugs.gentoo.org - though it is often best to wait a few days before posting news of a bump (since often developers know about them and are getting to them). In the meantime you could try copying the old ebuild to your local overlay with a new ...

make -j9 ? Have you 8 processors?

Compile it with MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge -av compiz.

According to another thread (bug with virtualbox) FEATURES="-sandbox" did the trick, it compiles now. I hope that it compiles fine.

I am not able to install compiz-plugins-mains because of "ACCESS VIOLATION".

However, I am going to wait, till 0.9 is tagged as stable and after that I'll give it another shot.
