Setup
I have a couple of hundred of users who need vpn connectivity. I would like to use ipsec-tools, becase of it's stability and security.

serial port

Well you can still use the serial console even if you dont have a serial port on any of your computers.

How you might ask, USB that is.

Go to yor local exletronics super store and pick up a USB to serial converter.

so it will look like this

SUN BOX = 25 to 9 pin converter = Null Modem adapter ...

unison is better

Actully using RSYNC to keep two diffrent computers in sync would be impossible, becuase how rsync works, you can only send files from computer A to computer B. Just as if you where copying but RSYNC just saves you bandwith on subsequent transfures.

My seetup is a external 250GB USB hard drive. I have it mounted as sda. Everything is working but all the file names are truncatd to 8 charaters not including the extension.
