no problems here. at all.

well, I'm kind of lying, only problem I have is: I mentioned un-idle disassociations issues previously, this seems to be caused by a whacky AP: moved from my freebox (all-in-one box on a french ISP ...

try to change monitor. I noticed this with certain apps, and certain graphics card/monitors combinations, be them linux or windows, when they draw massively (i.e very high fps, like 2000) to the screen, and when you have vsync off.
seems like some signal ends up resonating somewhere because of the ...

The real problem with this sort of discussion is I'd bet most of these people aren't in any way involved with an IT department or a software development house.
In fact, I am (dev-side), and were we not having some über-powerful IT maintenance dept (block-)head, we would certainly not be running ...

emerge either netplug or ifplugd (I use the latter).
then, it's automagic: plugged in? eth0 goes up. unplugged? eth0 goes down.

if you use wpa_supplicant (along with WPA APs, it can be used also for unencrypted and WEP), it'll basically do just the same with eth1.

there's nothing wrong with having ...

had I wanted to touch the kernel source, I would have run 'make patch_kernel', which works just fine...

the kind of 'overlapping' I mentioned above is enough to ...

it's a use flag because no one but mozilla org can use and distribute 'mozilla firefox'. by activating it, you accept not redistributing the generated package.
