Iris on Mirror

I personally voted for "Iris on Mirror", reasons why:

1. It is simple (not simplistic)
2. It is lite
3. It is fast
4. It is attractive
5. It is easy to adopt to


All reasons and features, Gentoo has.

Also, why everyone wants "Purple" ? I think current color scheme (i.e. (light-) green ) for ...

I also have the same problem here. Tried to rollback to the previous version, but that didn't help. Now recompiling kdepim with the 'debug' flag, so I can provide more debug information.

How to avoid stripping of ebuild?

I want to generate a symbol file, but I always get nm: <prog>: no symbols. This is due to stripping a binary. So, is it possible to avoid stripping of some programs in ebuild?

OK, I think it's resolved!

OK, I think I know what's the problem. It's in a malfunctioning hardware, in my case, I think, it's memory (frequency settings), because some software give me signal 11 error. Now I booted my Gentoo and issue memtest command to it. Will see what will happen... :)

mc gives me a warning. Something is wrong with an ebuild?

Hi all!

Today I installed mc. It has been succesfully installed, but when I start mc, it gives me this output:

Warning: file /var/tmp/portage/mc-4.6.0/image//usr/share/mc/extfs/extfs.ini not found
Warning: file /var/tmp/portage/mc-4.6.0/image//usr/share/mc/extfs/sfs.ini not found


mc looks for ...
