You need kde-3. I also wanted to try it, as is looks really cool, but I refuse to install kdelibs-3 again as long smplayer does its job. The gambas ebuild is buggy here, as it doesn't pull in kdelibs:3.5 Kde:3.5 dependancy has been removed in 0.8.6, because i rewrote some components, while qt3 is ...
Those debug informations don't help me, i bet the problem lies in a combination of xmonad+twinview and the way xt7 get information on where the mouse pointer is, this is the relevant code:
DIM AttachZone1 AS Boolean = (Mouse.screeny > Desktop.H - 16) 'bottom DIM AttachZone2 AS Boolean = (Mouse ...
I use xmonad as my wm (it's a tiling wm, if that matters). When I click the fullscreen button the window maximizes, but I can still see the menu and the toolbars at the top and the bottom. Is there a way to hide those completely while the movie is playing? Forgive me if this is something trivial ...
Xmonad is a pain to install if you don't use haskell for developing purposes, because it needs haskell and a bunch of other related stuff to run. Not to mention the pain of using a tiling wm if you have no previous experience with that :p So, if I can do anything to ease your bug hunting process ...
@i92guboj: yep, probably it's a wm issue, and i thank you for spotting out that thing. There should be nothing to be done apart of click the fullscreen button, so it's not your fault. I'll try to use that tiling manager to reproduce the bug and keep you informed. By the way, translation through ...
Not directly related to your issue, but as far as in understood, you don't need prefix to have kde3.5 and 4.1 at the same time;
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/kde/kde4-guide.xml?style=printable Note: This restriction does not apply to KDE 3.5 (which uses different eclasses) or live versions ...
What about kde4 and/or qt4? As far as i know, qt4 doesn't use cairo nor Xft. I have the Last.fm player installed, and it uses Qt4, and its fonts look identical to those of the rest of my system, so I would guess that Qt4 refrains from messing with the glyphs it receives from FreeType, which means ...
Btw, amarok is known to have problems in managing multiple soundcards, in my experience i found that when in "playlisting" mode, the first song is played through the soundcard you chosed,the rest thorough the primary ...

Maybe it's not only set, but locked, use envy24 tool to unlock it or use wine with oss.
Wine under alsa, for some reason i ignore, usually sounded strange to me, like downsampled, i ever suspected it outputs @ 22khz, and now you seems to confirm this.
Does X control the login/logout from KDM? Or is all that behavior transparent to it and handled by KDE? In that case, wouldn't it be a KDE problem? Were you using KDE when you had the same problem?
When you log out from kde and return to kdm, X is restarted too. Yes, i use kde, and it could be a ...
