Low...

tried to emerge the winex package, but it failed during compilation. Afterwards, I downloaded winex from cvs, hoping the prob would be resolved somehow. But it didn't :( I find it strange no one else has the same problem ->

Code:
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/wine/dlls/user'
rm -f libuser32.so && ln -s user/libuser32.so libuser32.so
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/wine/dlls/opengl32'
i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -c -I. -I. -I../../include -I../../include  -g -O2 -Wall -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -fPIC -D__WINE__  -D_REENTRANT -I/usr/X11R6/include -o wgl.o wgl.c
i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc: ./specs: Is a directory
make[2]: *** [wgl.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/wine/dlls/opengl32'
make[1]: *** [opengl32/libopengl32.so] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/wine/dlls'
make: *** [dlls] Error 2

Anyone any ideas to resolve this ?

Does anyone know what the -spec option does ?

Grtz

Mmmmm... How do you download this trough CVS? I would want to try, but I don't know how to get this, is it free?

Sorry for not having an answer to your problem right now.

unmerge wine and winex, get it from cvs again

(yes cvs is free, here's how:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex login
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex co wine

press enter on the password)

then cd wine and ./tools/wineinstall

should work, works for me, and remember that cvs is cvs, that it didn't work yesterday doesen't mean it doesen't work today ;)

Thanks for the info neuron!

I'll try that, as soon as I got some more time on my hands.
Thanks

I had this problem last week to ...seems though somethings bung with the cvs repos. at the moment as there are some posts indicating GTA3 has stopped working also for the people who could get it running previously......
definitly not a GENTOO issue as I was running it on mandrake at that stage....

thx for the info .. will try some more, when I've got the time.
It's just weird nobody has the same prob, because I emerged winex first.

I can't imagine no one has build the same sources as I did ...

oh well

You've been having better luck with newer CVS builds now?
