Ok, now this is getting to be a habbit...I have the same problem when trying to emerge xmms, xchat etc. Fluxbox did not complain so i can run my lovley Gentoo :)
But I would like to add KDE as eyecandy to my system. The same thing happens when I try to emerge gnome. My system is up to date, just emerge -u world before running these.
I installed from a live cd athlon-xp, started from stage3 because i could not bootstap. Well thats the history....Now these are the errors i get when i emerge kde....

Is there really nothing I can do to fix this? XMMS wont emerge, Xchat wont emerge, BitchX wont emerge...They all give me the same error....
Im going numnuts so to say....
Someone said something about it beeing in portage r11 but i just emerge -u world and got the -r12 version of it and i still have the same errors....

Is this because a bug in Gentoo or am I doing something wrong or could I have a Hardware problem.
I'm not having a blast here! Life isnt easy when your Linux doesnt work :)

My KDE emerge got F***** up but it was because of a power brake so now im trying it again...Seems to work though.
