does such a game exist? something like quake2. all the open-source first person shooters i've seen are multiplayer games.

AFAIK, Beyond messages like "You must invade the factory and steal the quad!" in the Cube single-player missions, there aren't any open-source FPS's with anything resembling a plot. _________________ - I

where do i get the gamedata?

Unable to find the AvP gamedata.
The directory last examined was: .
Has the game been installed and
are all game files lowercase?

not from the commercial CD, i hope. i'm looking for something that's free. |

okay, i'm going to try out quake2, transfusion-bin, and industri, which i think all come with the game data. let me know if i'm missing any. |

quake2 requires the quake 2 cd-rom (else you get shareware). The other two may work fine without the quake 1 data. |
