|
|
Hi,
i read a lot in all the other posts, but nothing seems to help:
i'm running a 2.6.9er kernel and recently installed a Promise S150 TX4 with PDC20318 (rev2) chipset. When i boot into the newly compiled kernel with scsi/promise tx4-sata the connected drives show up and then one line with the first drive and it's capacities and just hangs. Looks something like this during boot:
ata1: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd .....
ata2: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd .....
ata3: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd .....
ata4: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd .....
ata1: dev 0 cfg 49:2f00 .....
ata1: dev 0 ATA, max UDMA/133, 390721968 sectors: lba48
[here it stops loading and just freezes ...]
The same thing appears in syslog when i compile the drivers as module (sata_promise) and modprobe them ...
I have no more ideas what to do, maybe someone can help ...
Thx, Skillshot
P.S.: It hangs on init_module("ELF", 0x26e1...... when i take a look at "modprobe sata_promise" with strace .... |
