is there any way to set whether or not we want a "arch" or "~arch" version of a program?
The reason i'm asking is because I want "emerge -pu world" to tell me if there is an updated "~arch" version of a program i emerged with "~arch" and if there is an update "arch" version of a program i emerged with "arch". I want to keep certain packages up to date with the absolute latest version and others i need to be stable.
i don't think there is a way to do this now but it sounds like it would be a nice feature of portage. |

See man(1) portage, assuming you've upgraded to 2.0.50 or later. This can be done in /etc/portage/package.keywords. |
