I would like to enter text with some regional characters through Gimp's Text tool. Requiered font is TTF type. I can see it among fonts.
However, I can't enter some of characters . The support for national character in X is working - in gedit I can enter all characters without any problem.
If I try to put the chars from the clipboard, I get something like \x{0165} do\x{013E}.
The font encoding could be utf-8 or iso8895-2.
What's the problem? |

If you're using Gimp 1.3 this is easy - you just enter the characters.
Yesterday, I played with some hiragana and all was fine. |

Excuse me, I have exactly the same problem with xclipboard. Can you tell me how you solved it.
