Problem emerging libmpeg2.. [Solved]

Post by Canassa » Tue Aug 31, 2004 6:06 am

I am trying to install VLC 0.7.2-r1 but the emerge fails when it is trying to compile libmpeg2

Code: Select all

gcc -Wall -march=athlon-xp -fomit-frame-pointer -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-common -mcpu=pentiumpro -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/SDL -D_REENTRANT -o corrupt_mpeg2 corrupt_mpeg2.o getopt.o
/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -Wall -march=athlon-xp -fomit-frame-pointer -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-common -mcpu=pentiumpro -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/SDL -D_REENTRANT -o extract_mpeg2 extract_mpeg2.o getopt.o
libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.3/libstdc++.la'
make[1]: *** [mpeg2dec] Error 1
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
gcc -Wall -march=athlon-xp -fomit-frame-pointer -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-common -mcpu=pentiumpro -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/SDL -D_REENTRANT -o extract_mpeg2 extract_mpeg2.o getopt.o
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/libmpeg2-0.4.0b/work/mpeg2dec-0.4.0/src'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

!!! ERROR: media-libs/libmpeg2-0.4.0b failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 50, Exitcode 2
!!! emake failed
Why is it trying to search the library at /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.3 ? The correct one should be /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4

Does anyone can help me? I already spend hours searching the foruns but found nothing that could solve my problem.

Thanks,
Canassa

Oh, it's working now  I did a fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.3 --oldarch i386-pc-linux-gnu and it worked great ^^
