I just emerged dvd+rw-tools, typed

Code:

growisofs -Z /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/cd -R -J /some/files

and now I have a data DVD+R

Now I gotta figure out how to "backup" a DVD.

I'm so happy, I finally got absolutely everything on my system working perfectly. I was tinkering with the idea of taking another crack at getting this DVD+R working in Gentoo, now that I got everything working flawlessly with my NF7-s rev2. Then I noticed there was an ebuild for dvd+rw-tools. I'm a happy man.
