|
|
I got the adobe plugin installed but chromium doesn't see it. Here's what I've tried:
1. Install chrome-binary-plugins but it gives a 404 fetch failed error.
2. Downloaded chromium from upstream but it doesn't come with a libpepflashplayer.so.
3. I addded this to /etc/chrome/default
Code: |
CHROMIUM_FLAGS="--ignore-gpu-blacklist --ppapi-flash-path=/usr/lib64/nsbrowser/plugins/libflashplayer.so"
|
It tried to load the player but it crashes.
As for Firefox, it works fine for most sites but in some of them it's really SLOW (I get worse than 1 fps). So the question is, is there's an alternative to adobe's plugin that I can try?

I've found it to be quite satisfactory for flash content. Unfortunately, Google is in the habit of doping 'old' packages and I don't believe they let anyone else mirror their content. _________________ First things first, but not necessarily in that order.
Apologies if I take a while to respond. I'm currently working on the dematerialization circuit for my blue box. |

Thanks, I will file a bug.
In the meantime I found a way to get it. Dowwnload the debian package from: https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/ and do
Code: |
ar x <package_name>
|
That will extract 3 files, one of them is data.tar.lzma which contains libpepflashplayer.so on opt/google/chrome/PepperFlash, just extract it somewhere and update /etc/chromium/default as shown above.
Does anyone knows if there's any flash player alternatives for Firefox? <EDIT> nevermind, I found about gnash and swf-dec on another post. |
