SPDIF Input

Hey All,

I have a Gentoo AMD 64 box which is running fine. I have an Astro A50 Headset that I would like to get working properly. This headset plugs in via the SPDIF port on my motherboard. I have ALSA setup and PulseAudio working. The sound output to SPDIF works with no issues, however I cannot figure out how to get input working. Both Pulse Audio and Alsamixer do not seem to detect the SPDIF as an input. The only 3 inputs I get are Line, Front Mic, and Rear Mic. Can anyone shed some light on how I can make the SPDIF show up as an input?
