My /var/log/xorg.0.log shows me only the log of the current day, when I boot. I don't have logs of previous days, and currently I have some problems with crashes of X. How can I get output of xorg of previous days. I don't have logrotate, so it's quite weird that it saves only the logs of the current date |

...:sigh:...
xorg-server doesn't rotate its log - there's only one logfile per display (see '-logfile' on 'man Xorg'). |

It keeps two logs (at least on my system)
Xorg.0.log and Xorg.0.log.old (current session and last session)
Edit to add: I use startx not a DM.
If you want more than this then when you stop X, copy the file to some other name. _________________ PRIME x570-pro, 3700x, 6.1 zen kernel

I have xorg.0.old too. Thanks. It looked to me the same date. The change was at the hour.
Yes, and I will use the tip of copy to other name in order to keep track of older versions. |
