Hello all, I have been trying to get gnome to install by following some of the configuration guides and some extras here on the forums. I am new to gentoo, and need a bit of assistance.
I have installed the gentoo base successfully. I have also installed xorg-server, xinit, xauth. I run:

Yet I get error prompts about circular dependencies. There are multiple package slot conflicts if I remove the arguments:
I have also added to the /etc/portage/package.use file the following: '=dev-libs/openssl-1.0.1h-r2 - bindist' - without that, I run into more errors.
I am using the profile:
| Code: | | [5] default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/gnome/systemd * |
As far as I gather, the problem seems to be with the USEFLAGS, but I don't know enough to get this resolved on the first install.
Any ideas/help would be great.
