Dans Firefox, le use minimal actif n'installe pas les outils de développements.
Si tu mets "-minimal", tu seras capable de créer des plug-ins Firefox.
Le temps de compilation n'est pas changé, car c'est juste à l'installation que le choix de ce qui est déployé est fait.
