|

Hello everyone,
We are trying to install Gentoo via PXE.
Here is our process :
1. pxelinux.cfg file served via TFTP with the following :
Code: | append initrd=gentoo/initramfs-amd64.gz root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc loop=/image.squashfs looptype=squashfs cdroot=1 real_root=/ KS_URL=http://X.X.X./ks/ma.ca.dress.ks panic=10 vt.default_utf8=0 console=tty0 console=ttyS1,115200 |
2. The KS file is executing the installation process (mkfs, grub, configuration, etc)
3. The machine reboots and is network-available, ready to connect.
My problem is :
This process has been working fine for months. But since a few days, I'm unable to follow the installation process from console. When I start a KVM session to my server, it's locked on "Freeing unused kernel memory: 524k freed" (classical tmpfs bug).
BUT, even if the console looks frozen, the installation process is continuing on background.
What could explain such behaviour that was not present before?
Thanks, |
