Hello!

Im looking for the right kernel module for a Graphics card that is named "S3 Graphics Ltd. VT8375 [ProSavage8 KM266]"

Ive tried to add the Savage Graphics driver in my kernel, but i dont get more than 6 choises for the framebuffer when using vga=ask..

Any tips and tricks on this?

You want it for console, correct? No X involved?

kernel recognize S3 savage (5333:8d04), not via savage (1106:8d04).
You can add your pci id to kernel source (include/drm/drm_pciids.h) by yourself.
If it work, you should contact maintainer to support it.

Hello!

For now its just console, im not sure about X. Its running on an old laptop mainly for C++ coding..
But it may be so i want to run some small X install like fluxbox or something.

Did you try and enable FB_VESA ? Should work fine for console.

Regarding s4e8 post, that could work. Just add your PCI ID to the sources as he said.

I will try FB_VESA and see how it goes..

Though, im not sure what you mean with adding the PCI-ID.

firstly, do it get my id from LSPCI or should i use the numbers from here? (If so, just of curiosity, where did you get this?)
Also, should i enter it inside the .h file or do i enter it from the menu config in some way?
