Hi I installed just for this funny Outlook-Clone (it was really for fun, I'm a mutt-user ) and now I can't get rid of it....I get the following error when unmerging it:
>>> Updating Scrollkeeper database...
!!! pkg_postrm() script failed; exiting.
Any hints? |

What is the name of the program? Is that the complete error message? _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

As the subject says it's Evolution. And that is the whole error-message...before it there are only messages of successful unmerging files. |

That'll teach me to not think as soon as I get up in the morning. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

This may get some more info. Edit the file /usr/sbin/ebuild.sh and change the first line to:
Then do:
Code: |
emerge unmerge evolution >& /tmp/evol.log
|
The log file created may give you or others in the forum more hints. |

I had to figure out that my whole system was fubared...that was the reason, sorry for annoying. I asked in a moment when I didn't know, that my system is broken (had unmerged gcc 3.1 after having compied some packages with it -> very nasty as i even couldn't rememerge gcc 3.1 ). I was confused because other things were ok to unmerge but they also didn't depend on ScrollKeeper.
However I got rid of this Windows-relict now. Thank you for your effords anyway! |
