Network printing Samsung ML-2165 (solved)

Hello, after struggling a lot with the Samsung ML-2165, I managed to get it working over a local network.

This post is meant for those who already have the ML-2165 working locally (with an usb cable) but can't share this printer over a local network. It doesn't matter if you are using the Linux Unified Driver (supplied by Samsung) or the Splix driver (available in portage).

When installing the printer in the network computers (no the one connected to the printer) the Samsung driver must not be selected (i.e., neither the unified driver nor the splix driver must be chosen), the correct choice is the generic postscript printer driver instead (Make: Generic -> Model: Generic PostScript Printer)
