Finally the future generations of German players will grow up dreaming to emulate the nice goal of Goetze, instead of dreaming to dive in the penalty area like Voeller and brag 'we are good at penalty kicks' :-)

This can only be good....

Well it's better like the Italian kids trying to live up to the great example of Materrazi who insults other players' sister to get them red carded. :D

I watched a bunch of this one and I agree. it's a bit lame ass. I do like the format of no commercials though. that's great.

The problem with football is the low scoring, is the low chances. too much of the play takes place away from the goals.

I am glad the final didn't end in dodgeball (that's what I have decided penalties look like with the goalie jumping out of the way all the time).

By simply removing the offsides rule, the game would be a lot more exciting and high scoring.

once again you show that you have no fucking clue about the game.

A goal less draw can be much more enjoyable than a 6-5 goal fest for a knowing fan who enjoys tactics, strategy, athlecism and skill.

Oh, I know soccer. I played from the age 5 until final year of high school. I just find it to be mind numbingly boring to watch.

Joachim Löw could replace Jürgen Klinsmann as development aid worker. Since the Nazi country has trouble with umlauts, that would be a new Low. :P

The highlights of a 90 minute soccer match lasts about 40 seconds. The rest is just extreme boredom.

Athleticism...LOL. As I've mentioned before, my old dog could kick a ball.

Where did the American team behave like "sore losers"? They acted professionally throughout the entire tournament.

He's just barfing up whatever mind-turd floats to the top of that septic-tank of a cranium. Why do you even bother to listen when he's like that? Nobody fucked the dog at this World Cup worse than his country.

I wouldn't say that. it's obviously got skill.

I watched the final in a pub and I agree about the excitement vs boredom time; the "ah" moments are few and far between. No matter how much skill is involved, there is too much time spent in midfield with no scoring chance. Shots are rare. As I said, I don't think low scoring is bad; it's low chances that are bad. If it's 10 minutes in between each chance, then it's a yawner and lots of games are like that.

The Simpsons nail it. The american vs non american commentary is awesome.

I really could not figure out where she stumbled across the concept that the American team were sore losers.

You can't blame that on the US team. That's just Klinsmann....

That's ridiculous. Look at American football: people get all excited about a single pass, and it takes like 5 minutes for the one play to happen. ZOMG they completed a pass and move the ball ten yards up the field. Time for everybody to fap!

Or some guy carried the ball and moved it two yards. Time for yet another a commercial break so we can all watch another five minutes of advertisements.

And don't even get me started with baseball. It's like hours and hours of everybody just sitting around looking at each other, waiting for something to happen.

Exactly! And Klinsmann is extremely whiny even by German standards...
