This isn't really a poll about who is going to win the the World Cup, it is a poll about the nationality of the readers of this thread.

And the reputation of Germans dominating things.

I voted for Germany because I thought either they or Brazil would win the world cup.

The reason why I went for Germany was because they have strength in depth. The substitutes who replace their players go on to score goals. Brazil are a less-than-average team without 2 players. They are an average team without Neymar.

Not because you knew that England had no chance :-)

Brasil is an average team with Neymar and sub average without. Without T.S. they are just a bunch of amateurs.

i have a bad feeling about this.

Traditionally Germany does well against super-star teams. See Portugal, Brazil or even Argentina, England in the past. The team also had problems with defensive and disciplined teams working together. See Algeria for example.

Today's Argentina is not so much a super star team anymore. Sure, it still depends on Messi - but they put their defensive efforts first - and Messi's stardome second.

This will become a big problem for Germany.

So I think that if Germany scores first we might win, if Argentina scores first they will win.

Don't think so. This is much better than the Netherlands-Argentina borefest.

Argentina better than Germany till now.

Muller needs a yellow card for diving, in general. He is not cute.

two minutes, two fouls against Schweinsteiger. Two times yellow should have been given. The second time the rules demand a red.

Nothing.

The ref is a disgrace.

Seems this is over. Well deserved in the end. First half for Germany, second for Argentina and extra time for Germany.

Good match.

Actually I thought the referee was excellent. He let play go and ignored the play acting by Germany.

If the Germans didn't fall about everywhere they would have got more fouls.

Anyway, well done Germany! :D

Finally the future generations of German players will grow up dreaming to emulate the nice goal of Goetze, instead of dreaming to dive in the penalty area like Voeller and brag 'we are good at penalty kicks' :-)

This can only be good....

The best thing about Voeller was you could use him as spitting practice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr4YpAPbY2c

It's finally over??!! \0/

Nine months from now there will be a worldwide spike in births, because everyone has been bored to death with nothing but lame-ass soccer, and had nothing else to do but screw the little woman.

Football exists so that we can excercise nationalism in well-defined setting, and not go free-for-all like in balkans. FIFA for Nobel Peace Prize.

Flopper nations should be watched for false flag incidents, human shields, and the like.
