So I used genkernel to configure the kernel, and now I want to install xorg-server and kde.
In the X installation article on the gentoo wiki it says you need to modify some stuff in the kernel for X to work, and I was wondering if you need to modify these settings if you used genkernel to configure the kernel.
Also, I'm using gentoo from virtualbox so I set the VIDEO_CARDS="virtualbox", is there anything else I should know or perhaps some tips? |

Default config is fairly sane, so just install stuff you want first, check if it works, and if it fails go back to `genkernel --menuconfig all` and look for stuff you might have missed. You can also add --no-clean option to genkernel params to speed up compilation. |
