I use KDE. I'm running on a recent Macbook Pro w/ the Retina display.
When at work, I plug my laptop into two externals via the two DIsplayPorts. I then enable both of them and disable the laptop screen.
When i'm away from my desk, I have to re-enable the laptop screen.
If I just unplug the externals, then the laptop screen is 'off' and I cannot turn it on easily.
Is there a way to get the expected behavior of automatically turning the laptop screen on when I disconnect the externals, and of disabling the laptop screen when i close the lid but leaving the externals enabled?
Thanks,

I'll follow up with him, but I don't think he wants the same thing as me.
He seems more concerned with setting things up at boot - I'd like to be able to reconfigure mid-session.
Generally, I prefer to leave xorg.conf blank and just use the xrandr settings or more modern tools to configure things. |
