Hi,
I am using 3.12.13-gentoo 64bit kernel on my sony vaio(Model Number: VPCEB2M1E). Here is my webcam info

I have configured well the webcam and it is working pretty fine with skype. The problem is with the mic. It is not working at all.

Is the audio device of the webcam recognized?
Do you see it listed e.g. when issuing "aplay --list-devices" or when starting "alsamixer" and pressing [F6]? |

In alsamixer I have "HDA Intel MID" as a capture device but never the less, I am unable to record the voice using arecord or skype.
