Option -0fast is not a valid compiler option. According to info gcc, option -Ofast enables certain changes known to violate standards compliance, so it should only be used on programs where such noncompliance does not break anything. Do I understand from your post that you enabled this globally and now want someone to disable it for you on a specific ebuild where it causes problems?

You can use package.env to accomplish this.

I thought -Ofast was the recommended optimization level, srry. I guess this is what happens when you get you OS info from 92 different garage band sources.

The total of recommended flags are "-O2 -pipe -march=native". I'm sure it's in either/both the official handbook and wiki.
