You previously built sandbox with USE=-multilib and are now trying to build with USE=mulltilib. Did you change your profile? Your current profile should never have installed a USE=-multilib sandbox.

Okay. I understood the problem, thank you.
And excuse me for an odd question, I'm a new user to gentoo. What steps should I proceed to make sandbox to be able to install?

To install a multilib sandbox, you must have a multilib compiler and multilib gcc. It would help, but is not required, to have a multilib sandbox. Please answer the question I posted previously: did you change your profile after installation, and if you did, what was the previous profile? What is the output of emerge --pretend --verbose sys-libs/glibc sys-devel/gcc?

I can't refresh my memory if I changed it, unfortunately.. But it seems that I didn't change anything like this after the installation.

That is the output of your command...

Code:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild   R    ] sys-libs/glibc-2.17:2.2  USE="(multilib*) -debug -gd (-hardened) -nscd -profile (-selinux) -suid -systemtap -vanilla" 0 kB
[ebuild   R    ] sys-devel/gcc-4.7.3-r1:4.7  USE="cxx fortran (multilib*) nls nptl openmp (-altivec) -awt -doc (-fixed-point) -gcj -go -graphite (-hardened) (-libssp) -mudflap -multislot -nopie -nossp -objc -objc++ -objc-gc -regression-test -vanilla" 60,273 kB

Total: 2 packages (2 reinstalls), Size of downloads: 60,273 kB

Maybe I made a risky step.. I unmerged sandbox package and tried to reemerge it. Now I get this kind of warning in the beginning:

Code:

!!! Problem with sandbox binary. Disabling...

And the same result as before at the end.

That output says you did change it. You have a non-multilib glibc and a non-multilib gcc. Both would be switched to multilib if you rebuild them. In both cases, you need a multilib glibc and multilib gcc before you can readily rebuild either of them to enable multilib. There are ways to get a multilib environment starting from a non-multlib one, but they are not straightforward. The simplest solution would be to change your profile back to the one that you used at install time.

Where can I change my multilib flag? Will it be enough if I modify only it without rechoosing my main profile?
Now I use "default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/kde" profile - it seemed to me, that I chose it in the beginning of my installation. If I change the profile here to no-multilib, will it affect on my currently installed programs?
