|
|
Hi
I have a Logitech C270 HD Webcam.
Apparently this is supported by Linux UVC: lsusb returns 046d:0825 and this code is listed in the Linux UVC supported cameras.
I have also emerged luvcview.
But now when i plug the cam era in and type luvcview, i get an error: Code: | jody@raven ~ $ luvcview
luvcview 0.2.6
SDL information:
Video driver: x11
A window manager is available
Device information:
Device path: /dev/video0
ERROR opening V4L interface: No such file or directory
|
Similarly, when i run "Cheese webcam booth" i get the message "No device found"
Can someone help me get the camera to run?
Thank You
Jody

Thanks for the suggestion.
I set the following kernel options: Code: | CONFIG_MEDIA_CAMERA_SUPPORT=y
CONFIG_MEDIA_USB_SUPPORT=y
CONFIG_USB_VIDEO_CLASS=m
CONFIG_USB_VIDEO_CLASS_INPUT_EVDEV=y
CONFIG_SND_USB=y
CONFIG_SND_USB_AUDIO=m
|
then rebuilt the kernel and rebooted.
Now it works!
Thanks
