Is there a doc or a program to watch DVD's (hopefully without a region code)? What dvdapp is the best?

Personally I use vlc but you can also find useful ogle (makes full use of the menus), xine and mplayer.

I would push Ogle and/or Xine.

ogle works immediatly, xine needs a plugin to play encrypted dvds (all) and is more full featured. I havent been able to get xine working yet.

vice versa for me
xine worked once i enabled DMA(im such a n00b)
ogle still crashes when i try to play anything

Personally, I tend to use Xine with either the d4d or d5d plugins. Ogle also works fine for me, with the '$ogle -u gui' command, but it doesn't look as professional:).
