Whoa, back up the train!!! If you guys can claim the Soviet cosmonaut program as a European accomplishment, then you have to accept all the baggage that goes along with having backwater former soviet states as well.

I don't claim anything about the soviet cosmonaut.

Who politically in the EU has ever claimed that (legitimately), who here from teh EU has ever claimed that legitimately (as oppose to trollbait for precious americans?)

This is going to require citation linking to an OTW thread AND a news report legitimately claiming the CCCP space program is an EU space program

You guys just prove my assertion.

I hardly understand how private-joking aside and bullshitting (what Fran and I are more than obviously doing there) can prove anything else than our opinion that your thread is a joke. Bullshit!
Now... well... if you assert... well... of course... feel free to assert. Simply be aware that it is... somehow... as much gratuitous as our contributions can be.

You folks are unified in your little skirmishes and wars. There has not been a single US American prezidente who has not fucked up some part of that world. And our ties to the Caribbean actually bring democracy, peace, justice, and prosperity to the region.

They may have gotten democracy, but they had to fight you to get it.
Those islands which are already part of the EU are doing just fine, thank you.
The EU is actually trying to help the remaining Caribbean islands.

I take it you folks still have some smallpox infected blankets to distribute to the natives.

And I'm confused as to the remaining islands. Did the others capsize and sink?

He means the ones they still treat as colonies, in which the Blacks they brought there have taken over, but which Spain can no longer afford to support. Spain would like to pawn them off on American taxpayers.

You funny people start a war over an accident at one of your own unsafe dumb barges and then happily pay a phone tax to fund this war over Cuba for 108 years. And all you got from Cuba is a cigar for one of your prezidentes and a guffaw from Fidel Castro.

The only thing Cuba related we pay for is some Coast Guard to pull refugees from Communism out of the water.

That is quite an accomplishment, after 108 years.

In your case, you fail to look at the underlying causes. For example, you are always railing against gun violence, yet fail to recognize it is limited to the inner cities, and is a problem in the black community. That right there is a full 60% of all gun violence. Remove suicides from the statistics, and one discovers there is very little gun violence among the vast majority of the population.

So if you need to fault your neighbor, and least get a clue as to what you are criticizing.

wildhorse is correct. We have been half assing it for years concerning Cuba. We need to take a lesson from Spain, and just kill them all in one fell swoop. Like Spain, we can do it in the name of GOD.

You will need the entire Olympian just to kill Fidel Castro.
But you folks are doing much better in your little drug war with your neighbours in Mexico. The casualties there are comparable to those in the worst days of the illegal invasion of Irak.

Yeah, the eighteen-sixties.

Meanwhile, Europe hasn't gone 50 years, without one state invading somebody or each other, out of the last 2,000 (and it has averaged something closer to 20). And, during that time, there's hardly one spot on the globe you haven't invaded. (If I'm not mistaken, you haven't invaded Nepal or Antarctica.)

Yes, but I don't think they have put a military force there.

So, Europe is a joke because the people of Ukraine are defending democracy? How does that work for someone coming from the land of the free?

And Obama wanted a civilian force to rival the military.

What is going on I Europa is a bad joke. In Ukraine, some nationalists want, with the help of the US, become a part of the EU, which is a vassal of the US: Maidan inside out (it is some very nice pictures here, and as we can see, this is not a civil war, at most a tentative of coup d'état), when in France, they are protesting about the occupation of foreign policy and internal affairs by the Zionist lobbies: State Repression in France Only Makes the Resistance Grow Stronger.
