|
|
I am trying to install a 3.8 kernel on my Beaglebone White (because it's a challenge!)
Anyway, so far so good. I have now come across a problem with the boot process, and I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction:
When the BBW starts, I get the following message:
Code: |

cpsw, usb_ether

My interpretation: the code is trying to boot from the internal MMC (mmc1) which is present on the Beaglebone Black, but not on the White. The button which indicates where to boot from is of course not present on this BBW. I am struggling to identify where the default boot instruction is coming from, as it doesn't appear to be in uEnv.txt where I would expect it to be. Google didn't throw up anything. Once I have succeeded, I will write up what I did, because I am sure I am not the only one facing this challenge!
Thanks!

Typical! As soon as I get to the point where I post a message, the very next thing I try resolves the problem!
(the answer - the uEnv.txt file loadimage line was the problem. I commented it out)
Anyway, I will mark it as solved, and go away and write up what I did. |
