I'm not in favor of systemd, but i don't like gnome-session/xfce4-session/cinnamon-session more.

I think session manager should be generic, why it is integrited with the DE?
So it would be comfortable if systemd can replace them all.
systemd is to replace everything, isn't it? ;)

When would this happen?
I have read a blog about it, but there's no more news recently.

According to https://github.com/zoqaeski/systemd-user-units and https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Systemd/User, >=systemd-206 can no longer be a session manager.
I think the rationale is reasonable.
