I am using nero under XP to burn gentoo-ix86-1.1a.iso as an iso image to a bootable cd. I cannot seem to boot from the cd, and my cdrom is in the bootable device list (A, CDROM, C). I even installed RH7.1 from a bootable cd, so I know it works. What am I doing wrong and what should I look at??  |

I've burned mine with nero too ... worked fine ... you can try fireburner, thats a nice small program for burning isos..

| Are you sure you burned it as an iso image? I have forgot to do that sometimes. Actually I forgot to do that when I burned the Gentoo iso to my last empty cdr las weekend. |

 It must have been a corrupt download of the iso. I did as all suggested, and it now works fine. Thanks to you all!!

Sorry for bad english 
I am use Nero too and it work fine
Rename image like zzz.iso to zzz.nrg and burn the CD
with Nero |
