bot scout will stop the majority of spam getting through

i recently started administrating a forum and it uses stop forum spam, but i found it missing about 1/2 of the spam bots.... looking up their ip addresses bot scout repeatedly showing up positives for spammers emails, ip addresses, and user names. people on the forums here repeatedly yell at me for my methods but i don't care, resources being wasted on watching spam show up can and should be used elsewhere.
