Hi,

I'm using systemd with the kdm.service enabled, so my computer boots into a graphical login manager. If instead of logging in there, I press ctrl-alt-F2 (it seems systemd takes over the tty console in ctrl-alt-F1 :? ), and log into a regular (tty) console, then typing journalctl gives a lot of information on the stuff that happened at boot. However, once I log into KDE (ctrl-alt-F7) all that information is lost, and I only get information about the things that happened to the daemons and whatever AFTER logging into KDE (which amounts to ntpd stuff).

I don't know whether this is relevant or not, but I have rsyslog disabled (I've read that systemd logging capabilities are ok)

Anyone else ditching rsyslog for journalctl experimenting this?

Cheers!!
